Glitter fabrics, commonly called sequins, are composed of small shiny and sparkling decorations attached to the surface of the fabric. Made of plastic, metal or other materials, the flat discs of multiple colors are sewn onto tulle, velvet or other material bases.
Particularly suitable for sewing evening wear or costumes, sequins add a touch of glamor and shine to an outfit.

The composition from small flat discs makes the fabric heavier, less stretchy and therefore less comfortable. We then favor a lining matching the sequins for an outfit that combines comfort and performance.
On the manufacturing side, sewing sequins requires patience both when cutting out the pieces and "slow" sewing to avoid loss of sequins and broken needles.
