Cotton

Cotton is the fabric that brightens up every project. Our department brings together a selection refreshed each season: printed and solid poplins, lightweight voiles, ultra-fine batistes, cotton satins, and a handful of Calissone exclusives designed with European illustrators.

 

You'll find poplins (110-140 g/m², the all-rounder cotton for blouses, shirts, structured dresses and accessories), voiles (90-110 g/m², airier, for summer dresses and flowy blouses), and batistes (70-90 g/m², very fine, for delicate pieces and linings).

 

Most of our references are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified - your guarantee that no harmful substances remain in the finished fabric.

 

> Workshop tip: for a garment project, always prewash your cotton at 30°C (86°F) before cutting. It can shrink 3 to 5% on first wash.
