100% cotton fabric with a checkered pattern offering a beautiful range of greens and blues with touches of orange and pink. Note that one selvedge has an orange border - you can use the border at the bottom of skirts or dresses for example.
This Indian cotton is delicate and light, so perfect for summer sewing. It can be used for scarves, tops or dresses with a little fullness. You can also use them for quilts or home projects like semi-sheer curtains.
As Indian fabrics are handmade, they may have weaving or printing irregularities which add to their charm and are not considered defects.
This fabric is printed and dyed by hand. For the first few washes, put the fabric in the machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will set the dye to prevent it from bleeding.
