Coton if - High Tide Ikat

Ikat is a resist dyeing technique where the threads used for weaving are dyed beforehand. These threads are tied in a pattern, so that the threads covered by the knotting “reserve” the dye, creating a design. The more knotting before weaving, the more complex the pattern.

As Indian fabrics are handmade, they may have weaving or printing irregularities which add to their charm and are not considered defects.

This fabric is printed and dyed by hand. For the first few washes, put the fabric in the machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will set the dye to prevent it from bleeding.
