RISO birthday card “BIRTHDAY QUEEN” – Colorful card in 3 RISO colors. Long live the birthday queen! This birthday card is inspired by the queen from a deck of cards, complete with sunglasses, flowers and a healthy dose of attitude. The front is printed in three RISO colors: neon pink, red and yellow. The back is printed in black.
The RISO gives the card its striking colors and characteristic handcrafted look. Each color is printed separately. This may result in slight shifts and imperfections: this is part of the RISO process and makes each card unique. A happy card for someone who deserves to be Queen for a day on their birthday.
Studio Inktvis succumbed to RISO for its intensely rich colors and handmade appearance. The printing process is similar to screen printing: each color is applied separately. RISO uses soy-based ink and wax-coated Japanese paper master plates. Because it is a cold printing process, the machine consumes relatively little energy.
Slight color variations and imperfections are part of this particular printing technique and make each card unique.
