The maneki neko or lucky cat, also known as a cat that is signal (Japanese :, maneki neko) is one of the most common talismans in Japan. The Japanese name of origin is Maneki Neko, which literally means "cat that signals". Lucky cats lift their left paw, their right paw or sometimes both.
Studio Inktvis fell for Riso because of the intense colors prints he produces. The Riso printing principle is therefore very similar to that of screen printing. The final printing is made by hand or beautiful, but not perfect. The process is also environmentally friendly. The ink is based on soy oil produced fairly and the masters are made of Japanese waxed paper. The machine consumes very little energy because riso printing is a cold print process.
