How to use the multifunction sewing ruler?
To measure and draw perfectly straight lines
With its large right side, you will be able to draw lines. With the intermediate graduations, it will also be easy to draw parallel lines. With its graduation with the 0 in the middle you can easily measure, graduate and find the center between two points.
To measure curves
The entire curved part of the multifunction sewing ruler is graduated from centimeter to centimeter. It will then be easier for you to measure the length of a curve to estimate, for example, the length of a bias tape. You can also, based on your measurements, enlarge an armhole by as many centimeters as necessary, for example.
To trace ergonomic curves
The multifunctional sewing ruler combines the advantages of a straight sewing ruler and those of a parrot. Using the large outer curve, and the smaller curves inside the handle, you can make all kinds of curves. The varied degrees of curvature make it possible to reproduce those of the human body, enough to create anatomical curves of collars, hips, wrists, etc.
To add a seam allowance, even to a curve
The entire perimeter of the multifunction sewing ruler is graduated with marks which allow you to create a seam allowance of 5mm or 10mm all around a pattern, even in a curve. These same marks are also present around the handle, allowing these cutting markings to be made on all degrees of curvature.
Draw lines at 45° and mark a bias
By simply placing the marks forming a right angle on the straight grain of your fabric, you can create a 45° diagonal with the right edge of the ruler. This can be practical, especially for making bias tape.
Making arcs and circles
The multifunction sewing ruler can also be used as a compass. It actually has holes which allow you to either place a point which will serve as a pivot or a pencil to trace the arc of a circle according to the desired radius. The different spacings allow circles of different radii.
The multifunction sewing ruler will be your ally for your sewing projects. If you only had one sewing ruler, this would be it! It is suitable for both beginners and experienced people. Rich in numerous 100% useful tools, it will always be easily at hand to support you in your routes.
