Je suis Ruby, a slightly flared denim skirt that comes in three styles and five versions. My basic version is a long denim skirt with specific details: fly, slant pockets, fitted belt, back slit and contrast stitching. I can also be sewn into a short skirt.
My second style combines a long transparent skirt and an opaque inner skirt. I can be worn in different ways depending on the desired look. The third style is a simple, slightly flared skirt with a lower waistband and an invisible back closure. Like my long denim version, it features a back slit and can also be cropped into a short skirt.

Pattern pieces overlap. You will need to postpone the pattern.
The pattern includes an envelope in which you will find a pattern sheet, a step-by-step explanation booklet with diagrams.

The pattern is available in 5 versions:
- A: Long denim skirt
- B: Short denim skirt
- C: Long transparent skirt (with short opaque skirt)

- E: Short skirt
MEASURES
Size 36 to 46.
The pattern is designed for a height of 1m65 and a B cup.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS
As the I AM Ruby skirt is not comfortable at the pelvis, choose a fabric with a little elasticity. Be careful though, knitted fabrics are not suitable for this pattern.
Versions A & B:
- main fabric: medium warp and weft fabrics: denim, gabardine, cotton twill, imitation leather, suede, Tencel twill, smooth or ribbed velvet…
- pocket lining: poplin, cambric, fine cotton canvas…
Version C:
- outer skirt: openwork or transparent fabric that has good hold: embroidered cotton or silk organza, broderie anglaise, etc.
- inner skirt: warp and weft fabric with hold, cotton or silk satin, etc. Do not use a special lining fabric. The inner skirt is not a lining but is an integral part of the skirt, which is why we call it “inner skirt” and not “lining
Versions D & E: gabardine, cotton twill, Prince of Wales, tartan, tweed, fine woolen cloth, Tencel twill, smooth velvet or milleraies, jacquard…
The fabric of the short purple denim skirt is plain purple colored denim. The fabric used for the classic long denim dress overalls is L'Original raw denim. The denim used for the top of the overalls and the inner skirt is plain black denim.
