Recommended fabrics:
- For outdoors: choose a medium to medium-heavy weight fabric (220 to 350 g/m²) such as wool, velvet, cotton or gabardine
- For the lining: choose a thin, flowing fabric, such as viscose or light cotton, which will make it easier to put on and provide more comfort.
Ideas for creating an upcycled blouse or dress:
- Thick vintage curtains, old blankets, throws, or even reclaimed duvet will bring warmth and structure to the room
- For the lining, you can use sheets or your scraps of fabric (don't hesitate to use your creativity with patterns and colors, this will give character to your jacket)
- This jacket pattern requires a large amount of fabric. If your quantity of fabric to be recycled is too small to make one of the pattern's yokes, it is possible to combine it with a second fabric (or as many different fabrics as you wish). The patchwork method will be your ally
