Recommended fabrics:
- For a more summery version, a light cotton (poplin, voile, cambric, percale) of 100 to 150 g/m² is ideal.
- For a version with more hold and a nice natural drape, opt for linen, ramie or tencel of 150 to 200 g/m².
- For a dressier version, you can use a viscose or a light crepe (120 to 160 g/m²)
Ideas for creating an upcycled blouse or dress:
- Vintage cotton sheets and tablecloths for a vintage and authentic touch
- The bib can be made from a different fabric such as lace, embroidery, cotton voile or even a textured fabric to highlight the yoke (for the version without flat pleats)
- For the option with ruffled cuffs, English embroidery, a vintage braid or a ribbon will add a pretty, unique detail
